Leroy F. Fetter, 92, of West Reading, passed away February 12, 2016 in Wyomissing Nursing Home.

He was the beloved husband of Betty J. (Beard) Fetter. They were married 72 years. They married on January 31, 1944.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late William F. and Edna (Lando) Fetter.

Leroy was a U.S. Air force veteran serving during WWII. He was the recipient of the Bronze Star.

He worked for 43 years for The Glidden Company, retiring in 1983.

Leroy was an active member of the Olivet Reformed Church, Reading where he sang in the church choir, and was past-member of the church consistory.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children: Janice E. (Fetter) , wife of Carey Kaucher, West Lawn and Douglas L. Fetter, Collegeville. Two grandchildren: Hollie, wife of Robert Burghardt, Pennsburg and Jennifer Fetter, companion of Lesa Willis, Palmyra; two great-grandchildren: Jonathan and Abigail Strohl and three step- great-grandchildren also survive him.

He was predeceased by seven siblings: William; Richard; Robert; Ruth; Betty; Shirley and Edith.

The family would like to thank Compassionate Care Hospice for the great care they provided Leroy.

Memorial Service will be Sunday, February 28, 2016 at 3 p.m. in Olivet Reformed Church, 1648 Centre Ave, Reading, PA 19601. Burial will be private in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to: Olivet Reformed Church at the above address. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
