Leroy A. Brossman

LeRoy A. Brossman, 93, formerly of Laureldale, died December 3, 2006 at 7:10 pm in Phoebe Berks Health Center, where he had been a patient since August 18th.

He was the widower of Hilda R. (Long) Brossman, who died September 14, 2000.

Born in Wernersville on July 13, 1913, he was a son of the late Roy and Eva (Yoh) Stricker.

He was employed 36 years as a mail contractor by the U.S. Postal Service and was also the owner/operator of the former Brossman's Auto Repair, Reading for 40 years, retiring in 1987.

LeRoy was a 67 year member of Jehovah's Witnesses - Kingdom Hall, Hyde Park.

He is also survived by two sons, Kenneth L. husband of Doris E. (Hoover) Brossman of Muhlenberg Township and Ronald L. husband of Leota (Rentz) of Cumru Township.

Other survivors include one sister, Ruth (Stricker) widow of Clayton Speicher of Robesonia and four brothers, Carl of Robesonia, Robert of Laureldale, John of Leesburg, Florida and Richard of Hyde Park.

There are also three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by three brothers, Warren, Harold and Wilbur.

Services will be Thursday at 10:30 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. www.christfuneralhome.com
