Leroy B. Bard, Jr.

Leroy B. Bard, Jr. 80, formerly of Sinking Spring and Shillington, died April 6, 2022, at the Reading Hospital.

His wife, Christine M. (Maslar) Bard, died on August 3, 2007.

Born in West Reading, he was a son of the late Leroy and Alice (Spresser) Bard.

He attended West Reading High School where he played football, basketball, swimming, and track.

Leroy was employed by Carpenter Technologies for 23 years as a crane operator, retiring in 2003.

He is survived by his brother, Russell, Sr., husband of Beverly Bard, Exeter Township; two nephews, Russell, Jr. and Kevin, and one niece, Dianna.

Leroy was predeceased by his son, Nicholas L. Bard on April 1, 2016.

A Prayer Service will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at 10 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading with burial to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.
