Leonard G. Offenbacher, 87, formerly of Womelsdorf, died May 23, 2011 in his Wernersville Borough residence at Phoebe Berks.

Born January 9, 1924 in Springfield, OH, he was a son of the late Ernest L. and Edith Marie (Corbitt) Offenbacher.

He was the husband of Elizabeth J. (Howard) Offenbacher who died September 27, 2006.

Leonard was a 1942 graduate of Springfield High School.

He retired in March, 1990 from Atlantic Metals Company, Philadelphia as an accountant.

Leonard served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Master Sergeant.

Surviving are three children: T. Gene Offenbacher if Phoenixville, Chester County; D. Randall, husband of Deborah M. (Reber) Offenbacher of Lower Heidelberg Township; Treva J. (Offenbacher), wife of Mark A. McGregor of San Antonio, TX.

Also surviving are four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Leonard was predeceased by two brothers, Richard M. and Howard L. Offenbacher.

Services will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services in the funeral home. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
