Leona K. Henry

Leona Kathleen (Kessler) Henry, 89, died August 18, 2008 in her Spring Township residence.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Franklin Stitzel Hahn on May 1, 1951 and by her second husband, Irvin George Henry on July 23, 1993.

Born in Schuylkill Haven, PA on April 8, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Ralph Ruffner Kessler Sr., and Lottie May (Dunkelberger) Kessler.

She was a 1937 graduate of Hamburg High School.

Leona is survived by three children: Robert D. Sr., husband of Judith A. (Baeder) Hahn of Blue Bell, Montgomery County; Susan K. (Hahn) wife of David B. Rupp of Alsace Township and Kathleen E. (Henry) wife of Michael G. Conrad of Alsace Township.

Other survivors include six grandchildren: Robert Hahn Jr., Michael Hahn, Donald Robitzer Jr., Melissa Steber, Jenna Rothermel and Katie Conrad and six great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by three siblings: Dorothy (Kessler) Casper, Marjorie M. (Kessler) Smith and Ralph R. Kessler Jr.

A memorial service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg.
