Leon B. Williams

Leon B. Williams, Sr., 74, of Reading, went to be with the Lord on October 31, 2013.

His wife, Florence M. "Judy" (Schwarz) Williams, passed away February 25, 2011.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Walter E. and Dorothy (Nice) Williams.

He worked for General Battery Corporation, Reading, for over 30 years.

Leon was an avid fisherman and a John Wayne fan. He was very humble and loved helping his family and friends. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his five children: Leon B., Williams, Jr., Reading; Theresa J., wife of Keith W. McCulley, Reading; Kevin D., husband of Ibis M. Williams, Daytona Beach, Fl; Albert W. Williams, Sr., Reading and Kenneth D., husband of Traci Williams, Wyomissing. Also surviving are his sister, Patricia Rice, Reading; his 18 grandchildren; and his 10 great-grandchildren.

Leon was predeceased by his daughter, Melissa, and his 12 siblings.

Services will be Thursday at 12 p.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611. Viewings will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
