Leon Earl Kramer

Leon Earl Kramer, 85, passed away March 22, 2013 in his West Reading residence.

His wife, Elaine Louise (Schoonover) Kramer, died March 5, 1988.

Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late Earl and Edith M. (Unger) Kramer.

Leon was employed as the manager in the meat department for Food Fair, West Reading for years. He later worked for the Dana Corporation and after 38 years retired in 1988.

He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, West Reading.

Leon was a U.S. Army veteran, serving with the Military Police.

He enjoyed watching old movies, cartoons and following the lives of movie stars. He was also an avid Disney fan.

He is survived by his son, Todd Leon Kramer, with whom he resided. Also surviving is his sister, Pearl Grace Hullihen, Lancaster.

Leon was predeceased by three sisters: Viola V. Frantz, Mary E. Myers and Helen E. Szajek.

Services will be Thursday at 12 pm. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Viewings will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Charles Evans Cemetery.
