Leon V. Buchter

Leon V. Buchter, 83, of Park Road, Earl Township, died Nov. 7 at 11:50 p.m. in St. Joseph Medical Center, where he had been a patient one month.

He was the husband of Dorothy R. (Ritter) Buchter.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Leroy and Edna (Bausher) Buchter.

Buchter was employed for 35 years as a molder by Pottstown Machine Co., retiring in 1984.

He was a Navy Seabees veteran of World War II.

Buchter is also survived by two daughters, Carol A. (Buchter) Sechler, South Williamsport, Lycoming County, and Sherry L. (Buchter) Fick-Cody, in Wyoming.

Other survivors include a brother, Richard, of Temple.

There are also three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home Inc., Laureldale. No viewing. Burial will be private. The family requests no flowers be sent.
