Leo Keifer Zipf, Jr., 79, of Summerfield, Florida and formerly of Wyomissing died November 24, 2006 at 7:47pm in The Villages Regional Hospital, Florida.
He was the husband of Elizabeth (Moll) Zipf, whom he married September 30, 1950.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Leo Keifer Sr., and Gertrude R. (Gring) Zipf.
He was a 1945 graduate of Central Catholic High School.
Keifer was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.
He was an Army Veteran of WWII.
Keifer was the owner of Zipf's Candy, Reading since 1974 until his retirement at age 58.
He is also survived by a son, Leo K. Zipf III husband of Susan (High) Zipf of Mohnton and three daughters, Lynn M. (Zipf) wife of Peter Champagne of Lower Heidelberg Township; Ann Z. (Zipf) wife of Scott A. Horn of Douglassville and Lori E. Zipf of Brunswick, Georgia.
Other survivors include a brother, R. Karl Zipf and a sister, Louise (Zipf) Norton.
There are also six grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 9:30 am in St. John's R.C. Church, Shillington. No public viewing. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum, Muhlenberg Township. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Ave., Reading, PA 19605. Edward J.
