Lenore E. Bittner

Lenore E. Bittner,74 of Mohrsville died June 4th, 2011 in her residence. She was the wife of Lowell E. Bittner. Lenore was born in Coaldale PA and was the daughter of the late John G. and Henrietta (Evans) Brander. She was a 1954 graduate of Mauch Chunk Jr. Sr. High School and a 1957 graduate of the Allentown Hospital School of Nursing. Lenore was employed as a nursing supervisor for 10 years from 1971 to 1981 at Berks Heim. She last worked as a nurse for Schuylkill Valley Family Practice from 1981 to 2001. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, Leesport. In addition to her husband, Lenore is survived by: one daughter, Virginia wife of David Schaeffer, Wernersville, three sons: Jeffrey Bittner, Doylestown, David husband of Barbara Bittner and Mark Bittner both of Mohrsville, five grandchildren: Krystle and Jaryd Bittner, Abigail and Elizabeth Schaeffer and Jeremy Miller, two great grandchildren, Aidan and Natalie Miller, two brothers: John husband of Carolyn Brander, Pine Grove and David husband of Joyce Brander, Palmyra. Greeting hour will be Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 2:00 PM. in the Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, 103 Apple Street, Leesport. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM.
