Leland L. Cappel

Leland L. Cappel, 76, died September 25th at 3:05am in his residence at 1634 Farr Road, Wyomissing.

He was the husband of Lucille M. (Moyer) Cappel.

Born in Lavelle, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Harold and Merla (Artman) Cappel.

He was a 1945 graduate of Butler Township High School and a 1951 graduate of Albright College.

Cappel was employed as an Insurance Adjuster for Nationwide Insurance, Reading, from 1958 to 1977, and as an Agent for Lee Cappel Insurance, Hamburg, from 1977 until his retirement in 1993.

He was a Navy Veteran.

Cappel is also survived by a daughter, Cathy L. Cappel of Douglassville and a son, Steven T. Cappel of New York City.

Other survivors include three brothers, Frank of Ormond Beach, Florida, Mark of Lavelle, and Phillip of Rockville, Maryland.

He is also survived by three sisters, Nadine (Cappel) Smith, Nelda (Cappel) Chappell, and Marsha (Cappel) Pitts, all of Lavelle.

There are two grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held Sunday at 3:00 pm in the family's residence at 1634 Farr Road, Wyomissing. Friends may call at the house from 2 - 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Amyloid Research Fund, c/o Boston University School of Medicine, 715 Albany Street, K-503, Boston, MA 02118. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
