Leatrice M. Kunkle

Leatrice M. Kunkle, 88, a long time resident of Shoemakersville died January 17, 2017 in Berks Heim where she resided since 2012. Her husband Charles W. Kunkle died January 20, 2015. She was born in Shartlesville and was the daughter of the late William and Helen (Zweizig) Berger. She was a 1946 graduate of Perry High School and an active member of the Hamburg Community Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Tilden Township. Leatrice was last employed and retired from the Hamburg Center as a teacher's aide. She loved family get-togethers, doing crafts, reading, animals and traveling with her husband, family and friends. Her priorities were her family, church and her Lord. Leatrice is survived by a daughter, Diane (Skip) Littwin, Hummelstown; sons; Alan (Sandra) Kunkle, West Lawn, Stephen (companion, Melissa Levan), Bernville; granddaughter; Stacey (Gary) and great granddaughter; Alexandra Hawkins, Sinking Spring; and a step granddaughter, Monica Sechler and family, Strausstown, and a sister; Fay Stackpole (Ed). Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 23 rd at 11:00 a.m. from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., Hamburg. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Tilden Township.
