Leah M. DiBiase, 92, formerly of Midvale Manor, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Phoebe Berks. Her husband, Falco A. DiBiase, Sr. passed away on June 24, 2014. They were married on September 10, 1951.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Emidio and Mary (Barbini) Tranquillo. Leah graduated from Robesonia High School in 1950.
She always had an open door and dedicated her life to her family and friends. In high school, she was a majorette, cheerleader, sang in the choir, and was queen of the Jack Frost Parade in Hamburg.
Leah is survived by her three children: Dominic "Nick" DiBiase, husband of Joann, of Sinking Spring; Mary Congdon, widow of Thomas, of Wyomissing; and Falco DiBiase, Jr., husband of Stephanie, of Sinking Spring; three grandchildren: Angela Krick, wife of Jeff; Thomas Geffert, husband of Amanda; and Evan DiBiase; and three great grandchildren, Alex Krick, Leah Krick, and Carson Geffert.
She was predeceased by her siblings: Rose Moyer, Anthony, Joseph, Raymond, Quindo, and David Tranquillo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, August 2, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church with interment at Gethsemane Cemetery to follow. The viewing will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. the night before at Kuhn Funeral Home, West Reading. Memorial donations may be made to Elle's Angels Foundation at www.ellesangelsfoundation.org.
