Leah Mae Bechtel

Leah Mae (Dilliplane) Bechtel, 98, of Boyertown, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 29, 2012.

Born in Pleasantville, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Hettie Swoyer Dilliplane and the wife of the late James Y. Bechtel. They had been married for 61 years.

She was employed for a number of years by Great American, Bally as a looper until her retirement.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Boyertown, and the Boyertown Golden Age. She also attended the Center at Spring Street, Boyertown for many years.

She is survived by a daughter, Jane L. Starr and her husband Gene of Boyertown; two granddaughters: Christine, wife of Richard Mest of Boyertown and Karen, wife of Keith Bardman of Gilbertsville; and four great-grandchildren: Kelly and Kevin Mest and Blake and Clark Bardman.

Funeral services will be private.
