Leah Yvonne Bailey

Leah Yvonne (Burns) Bailey, 46, passed away on May 1, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Anthony Bailey. They shared 13 wonderful years together, and would be celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary in October.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of Tracey (Burns) King and the late George E. Harris. Leah graduated from Reading High School. She was employed at Giant as a manager in the Deli department. She enjoyed cooking and grilling, watching the Philadelphia Eagles play, and loved decorating for various holidays. Leah loved and cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. She is remembered for her contagious smile and laughter.

In addition to Anthony, those left to treasure Leah's memory are her children: Gerald A. Burns, Janeice K. Burns and Charles Black; her step-children: Madison Bailey, Christopher Bailey, Ackeen Bailey, Santeena Bailey; her grandchildren: Gavin Joyal-Burns, Isaiah Godfrey, Braxton Burns; and Kyeson Burns; her mother Tracey King; and her siblings: Jeneake Burns, twin brother, Lamont E. Burns, Asia Harris, and John King, Jr. She is predeceased by her step-father, John L. King; grandmother, "Mommie Elise"; her Godmother, Nancy Scott; and her brother, Willie Phillips.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Kuhn Funeral Home, West Reading, with interment at Forest Hills Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until the start of the service.
