Lawrence A. Walsky

Lawrence A. Walsky, 85, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022. Larry was the husband of Priscilla H. (Kelting) Walsky, to whom he was married for 62 wonderful years.

Born in Hempstead, NY, he was the son of Alphonse and Mary (Szczech) Walsky. He graduated from Lehigh University in 1958 with a degree in business administration. He worked in financial management for several companies, including Thun Investment Co. and the Wyomissing Foundation before becoming the owner and operator of Walsky Investment Management, Inc.

Larry loved his work as well as his numerous hobbies. He was fond of gardening and raised many vegetables and flowers from seed. Larry was also an avid photographer and world traveler, visiting over 50 countries in his lifetime and creating slide shows and DVDs chronicling each. He loved music, singing in the church choir as well as teaching Sunday School at Bausman Memorial UCC. He was a member of the Park and Shade Tree Commission of Wyomissing for 39 years, including time as chair of the commission. Above all else, Larry loved his family.

Larry was the father of three sons: Eric L. Walsky, husband of Barbara; Andrew D. Walsky, husband of Sheila; and Edward G. Walsky, who passed away in 2009. In addition to his wife and two sons, he is survived by three grandchildren: Owen E., Samantha J., and Liam A. Walsky.

A celebration of his life will be held at Bausman Memorial UCC, 1064 Penn Ave., Wyomissing on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at 11 a.m. with a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bausman Memorial UCC, Wyomissing, or Grane Hospice Care, 1012 W. 9th Ave., King of Prussia, PA 19406.
