Lawrence J. Scroble

Lawrence "Larry" J. Scroble, 67, passed away May 1, 2017 in his Reinholds residence.

He was the beloved husband of Marcia J. (Hollenbaugh) Scroble, with whom he celebrated 23 years of marriage.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Albert and Helen (Jacisin) Scroble.

Larry was a 1967 graduate of Wyomissing High School.

He was an United States Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War.

Larry was owner and operator of Scroble Building and Remodeling for over 40 years before retiring in 2012.

He loved playing the guitar, especially with his first band Soul Inc., during the 60's and in his current band Final Notice.

In addition to his wife, Larry is survived by his six children, Chad L., husband of Melanie Scroble, Wayne, NJ; Leigh Lindsay, Lancaster; Jessica Scroble, Steamboat, CO; Ross Scroble, Chicago; Justin Scroble, Bel-Air, MD; and Jordan Scroble, Wyomissing. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Patrick, Lulu, Emily, Gray, Poppy and Maeley and his two canine companions, Sofy and Chewy.

He was predeceased by his brothers, Ronald Scroble and Richard Scroble.

Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 7:00 pm in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Visitation will be from 5:30 pm to 7 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., is in charge of arrangements.
