Lawrence "Larry" M. Postupak, 76 of Hamburg died February 22, 2012 in his home. He was the husband of Arlene S. (Sablowski) Postupak. Larry was born in Parsons, PA (Luzerne County) and was the son of the late Dmitri and Margaret (Bodock) Postupak. He was a graduate of Liberty VO Tech High School, the Pennsylvania State Police Academy, Hershey, PA and Penn State University. He was also a Corporal in the United States Marine Corp. Larry worked for the Pennsylvania State Police, Troop L as the Fire Marshall in Schuylkill County for 25 years. He served with the State Police for a total of 31 years prior to his retirement. Larry was a member of St. Mary R.C. Church, Hamburg and its Holy Name Society. He was a member and past president of F.O.P Phillip C. Melley Lodge #65. Larry was a life member of the Hamburg Game Association and was a past director. He was also a member of numerous other game associations and organizations. In addition to his wife, Larry is survived by his children: Maria N. and Anne M. Postupak both of Etters, and Michael L. husband of Sherry K. Postupak of Hershey, two granddaughters, Lauryn and Mikaela and one brother, Robert G. Postupak, Sr. of Bethlehem. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 25th at 11:30 AM from St. Mary R.C. Church, 94 Walnut Road, Hamburg, PA 19526. F.O.P service will be held at 10:30 AM. A viewing will be held from 8:00 AM until 11:30 AM at the church. Burial will be in St. Cyril & Methodius Postupak Cemetery, Weatherly, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Larry's name may be made to St. Mary's MemorialFund 94 Walnut Road, PO Box 189, Hamburg, PA or Hamburg Game Association Children's Fishing Rodeo Fund, 935 North Fifth Street, Hamburg, PA 19526.
