Lawrence D. Hepner

Lawrence D. Hepner, Sr. 94, formerly of Wyomissing, passed away May 18, 2008 in his Doylestown residence.

He was the widower of Thelma D. (Barnett) Hepner, who died March 7, 2003.

Born in Hepners, VA, he was a son of the late Joseph E. and Rebecca L. (Rinker) Hepner.

Lawrence was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Wyomissing where he served in various positions.

He was employed by Glen Gery Brick Works as a mechanic for 33 years, retiring in 1979.

Lawrence is survived by a son, Lawrence D. Hepner, Jr., fiancé of Diane Frances, with whom he resided; a daughter, Linda L., wife of John Meek, Greencastle; a sister, Edith Miller, Reading; six grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by two brothers; a sister; and a grandson.

The family would like to thank Doylestown Hospital Hospice who provided care for Lawrence in his residence for the past ten days.

Service will be Thursday at 11:00 in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery.
