Lawrence George Piehel

Lawrence G. Piehel, 79, of Temple, died January 1, 2014 in ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late George W. and Catherine M. (Omara) Piehel.

Lawrence proudly served in the United States Navy.

He was employed by Western Electric for 30 years until his retirement.

Lawrence loved his family and enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by three children, Michael, husband of Lois Piehel, Fleetwood, Robert, husband of Leslie Piehel, of Jamaica and Melissa Piehel of Reading. Additional survivors include three grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Kathleen Piehel who died February 7, 1960.

Graveside services will be held at 10am Monday at Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Rd, Laureldale, PA 19605.
