Lawrence "Larry" R. Funk

Lawrence "Larry" R. Funk, 77, of Sinking Spring, passed away on June 8, 2018, in Hershey Medical Center.

He was the husband of the late Donna Funk who passed away in 2011.

Born on March 18, 1941, he was the son of the late Harvey E. and Cordelia J. (Rollman) Funk.

He was a 1959 graduate of Reading High School.

Larry was a proud U.S. Air force Veteran.

During his working career, he spent over 40 years as cabinet maker and pattern maker at companies like Aluminum Alloys and Woodmeisters, both of Sinking Spring.

Larry loved anything that had to do with planes. He was especially active in multiple model airplane clubs.

He is survived by son, Mathew A. Funk, and wife Jodi, Beaumont, CA; daughter, Rebecca A. Funk, Muhlenberg Twp.; two granddaughters: MacKenzie and Paige Funk, both of Beaumont, CA; brother, John A. Funk and wife, Suzanne, Wyomissing; and three stepsons: Michael Posta, Jr., Phoenix, AZ; Joseph Posta, and James Posta, Sinking Spring.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. A viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
