Lawrence S. Blanski, 58, of Kenhorst, died December 22, 2011.
He was the husband of Sheree L. (Boone) Blanski to whom he was married for 32 years.
Born in West Reading, he was a son of Bernard S. Blanski, Kenhorst, and the late Margaret M. (Wronkowski) Blanski.
He was a 1971 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School and Berks Vacational Technical School. He held a Master's Electrical License.
Lary was the co-owner and president of B&G Electric for over 36 years.
He served on the Kenhorst Borough Council for 12 years, 11 of which he was president.
Lary enjoyed fishing in the Deleware Bay, boating, golfing, antiques and spending time at his beach home in Lewes, DE. He was an accomplished woodworker; refinishing furniture as well as building items for his home. Lary was a big animal lover, rescuing animals and enjoying his pet miniature schauzers and parrot "Charlie."
He was a member of Immanuel UCC, Shillington.
In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by his son, Donavan "Jake", at home. Also surviving are his sisters, Sylvia, wife of Charles Clauser, Kenhorst and Vivian, wife of Terrence Naugle, Kenhorst. Three nephews and one niece also survive him.
Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A viewing will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Mohnsville Cemetery.
