Laura Fisher

Laura Fisher, 85, of Wyomissing, died December 6, 2006 in Reading Hospital where she had been a patient since September.

She was the wife of Wilmer H. Fisher.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Catherine (Alva) Farina.

She was a member of St. Mark's United Church of Christ, where she was a Sunday School Teacher, and a member of both the Women's Guild and the Sewing Club.

Laura was a member of the Berks County Historical Society, Green Valley Country Club and the Reading Museum Auxiliary.

Other survivors include two sons, Steven W., husband of Louise Fisher, Reading and Jan J., husband of Eileen Fisher, Exeter Twp. There are also 3 grandchildren, Kristen Fisher, Justin Fisher and Steven N. Fisher, 3 step-grandchildren, Lisa Cipolla, Beth Lascomb and James Pachuilo, Jr. Eight step-great-grandchildren also survive her.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in St. Mark's U.C.C. 211 West Greenwich Street Reading, PA 19601. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
