Larue J. Miller

LaRue J. (Reber) Miller, 87, formerly of Hamburg, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at the Laurel Center.

She was the widow of Kenneth L. Miller.

Born in Maxatawny Township, she was the daughter of the late Grant R. and Anna (Hoch) Reber.

She was a graduate of Ontelaunee High School.

LaRue was employed by the Hamburg Center for 30 years, retiring in 1996.

She was a member of the Shoemakersville Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.

LaRue is survived by six children: Suzanne L ( Ronald) Baylor, Hamburg; Lorie L. Phillips-Galvin (Gary), Sinking Spring; Michael S. Phillips (Brigitte), Ashburn, VA; Kimberly D. (Dennis) Fink, Schuylkill Haven; Michele A. Miller (Troy Seitzinger), Hamburg; and Donna L Silk (widow of Paul), Mohrsville; nine grandchildren: Andrew, Evan, Ryan, Alyssa, Brooke, Lisa, Richelle, LeAnn and Jeremy; fourteen great-grandchildren: Bradyn, Olivia, Madylyn, Avery, Megan, Ethan, Owen, Breanna, Madison, Jevin, Mariah, Gavin, Wyatt and Riley; and four great-great-grandchildren: Paislee, Bentlee, Brantlee, and Braelyn. One sister, Carol (widow of Donald) Werner, Bryantown, MD and two step sisters: Marie Boltz, wife of Jerry, Lenhartsville, PA and Elaine Clark, widow of Franklin, Andreas, PA also survives her.

She was predeceased by one brother, Kenneth Reber.

A visitation will be held on Monday, October 11, 2021, from 9am to 10:30am at the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, 40 South Fourth Street, Hamburg.
