Larry Weller

Larry J. Weller, 74, of Reading, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022, in the care of Berks Heim. He was the loving husband of Margaret (Henly) Weller.

Born in Reading to the late Ray and Frances (Gerth) Weller, he graduated in 1965 from Exeter High School where he ran cross country and track. He was a member of the 1964 State Championship Cross Country team that was later inducted into the Berks County Sports Hall of Fame. Larry served his country honorably during the Vietnam War in the United States Navy. After leaving the service, Larry married his beloved Margaret.

He served as a volunteer coach for his sons' teams with the Mt. Penn Youth Soccer League.

Larry retired from Verizon as a systems technician.

In addition to his wife, Larry will be remembered by their sons, Todd Weller (Christy) and Brian Weller (Stacy), and six grandchildren: Rebecca, Jack, Josie, Ray, Brayden, and Cora. He was predeceased by his brother, Ray.

Services for Larry will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, 739 Penn Ave, West Reading, PA 19611, with committal to follow at Hill Church Union Cemetery of Pike Township.
