Larry John Weidner, 76, of Fleetwood, died January 27, 2010 in Lutheran Home at Topton, Longswamp Township, where he had been a resident since November.
He was the husband of Jean Elizabeth (Yoder) Weidner whom he married August 7, 1954.
Born November 19, 1933 in Reading, he was a son of the late Charles and Eva (Dautrich) Weidner.
Larry was employed as a butcher with Sprecher's Meats, Fleetwood, then as a plumber's assistant with Hawkins Plumbing, Fleetwood and lastly, part-time at Premier Auto, Fleetwood.
He was a member of Fleetwood Legion, Lyons Fire Company Auxiliary and Kutztown Fire Company Auxiliary.
Larry was co-founder of Breakfast Brothers in Fleetwood, which is an organization that was formed to celebrate Fleetwood's Centennial. The organization continues serving breakfast once a month.
He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Fleetwood.
Surviving are two sons, Alan J. Weidner of Maidencreek Township and Troy D., husband of Vivian D. (Bleiler) Weidner of Kutztown.
There is also a brother, George Weidner and a sister Geraldine Mintzer both of Reading.
Other survivors include four grandchildren: Kenneth A., Austin D., Audra D. and Anson D.
Larry was predeceased by eight siblings: Charles, Russell, Albert, Richard, Kenneth, Minnie Heinle, Emily Adams and Marie Witwer.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 5 W. Arch Street, Fleetwood, PA 19522. A viewing will be held an hour prior to services in the church. Burial will be in Fleetwood Union Cemetery, Fleetwood.
