Larry K. Swoyer

Larry K. Swoyer, 74, of Rockland Township, died February 22, 2014 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

He was the husband of Janet H. (Sanders) Swoyer, whom he married October 7, 1961.

Born May 5, 1939 in Upper Macungie Township, Lehigh County, he was a son of Glenna Arlene (Beitler) Swoyer of Topton and the late Irvin Solon Swoyer.

Larry was employed as a lead burner with East Penn Manufacturing for 37 ½ years, retiring in 2003.

He was a member of Pikeville Gun Club, Rockland Rod and Gun Club and Lyons Fire Company.

Larry enjoyed hunting, having barbecue's , throwing quoits, farming with his tractor and watching NASCAR and spending time with his cat, Rachel.

Surviving in addition to his mother and wife are his two children: Tiffany S., wife of Barry L. Boyer of Richmond Township and Shane P., husband of Sherry M. (Conrath) Swoyer of Topton.

Also surviving is his brother, Leon Swoyer of Breiningsville.

There are also four grandchildren: Jeremy and Morgan Boyer and Nathan and Logan Swoyer; a great granddaughter, Hailey Boyer; 3 nephews and a niece surviving.

Larry was predeceased by Ardella L. Fegley, who died January 11, 2014.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Kuhn-Stitzel Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., Oley is in charge of arrangements.
