Larry L. Reider, 51, of Exeter Township, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at St. Joseph Medical Center.
Born in Douglassville, he was the husband of Maura (Rose) Reider of Exeter Township and the son of the late Richard Reider and Shirley (DeTurck) McAfee of Birdsboro.
He was employed in the maintenance department of Cambridge-Lee Industries for the past 12 years, last working Wednesday.
A Navy veteran, he was a member of the Reading Motorcycle Club, Oley, and a member and trustee of Buckskin Hunting Camp. Larry was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, and trap. He was also a devoted father who never missed any of his son's sporting events.
He attended Community United Church of Christ, St. Lawrence.
In addition to his wife of almost 28 years, he is survived by two sons, John Wayne Reider of Antietam and Jesse James Reider of Reading; a sister, Bonnie Mae Reider of Reading; his stepmother, Lorraine Kauffman of Reading and his stepfather, Everett McAfee of Birdsboro.
Funeral services will be held at Blankenbiller Funeral Home, 423 Main St., Oley on Monday, January 17, 2011 at 11 am with Rev. James H. Latimer officiating. Burial will follow in Friedens Cemetery, Oley. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3 to 5 pm, and again on Monday from 10 to 11 am prior to the service.
