Larry D. Rauch

Larry David Rauch peacefully transitioned to his heavenly home on March 18, 2026 at 2:00 pm.

He was the son of the late Annie and Felix Rauch. He was educated and graduated from Riverside High School in Saluda, South Carolina. He later attended Reading Area Community College and completed a degree in Business Administation. Upon graduating high school, he worked in a furniture store building furniture. After moving to Reading, he was drafted and served in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971. On his return to the States, he became employed at the Garden State Tannery and then the Continental Can, where he was a supervisor.

Larry dated and married his sweetheart Julia and to this union, they had a bonus family of three sons: Richard, Kenneth, and Anthony, and a daughter, Shaneeka. Larry and Julia attended many churches but became members of First Baptist Birdsboro. The love of furniture lead to Larry becoming an entrepreneur, opening up an antique and used furniture store with his wife. Always driving his truck doing odd jobs with his business Rauch Recycling.

Larry was a diehard Philadelphia Eagles fan. He enjoyed family gatherings as well as spending time with is numerous friends. He always made time to help anyone who needed him.

Larry leaves to cherish fond memories his loving wife, Julia, of 53 years, three sons: Richard, Kenneth and Anthony, and daughter Shaneeka (Andre), a sister, Lois bailey, four brothers-in-law: Eddie, Arthur, David (Debbie), Anthony, Jeffrey; sister-in-law Charlene; grandchildren: Keisha, Shyneece, Kendra, Anthony, Imani, Kiera, Amber, Anisa; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

Larry is predeceased by his mother and father, Annie and Felix; brothers: Felix, Calvin and Curtis; and sisters: Della, Bertha, and Irene.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at 11:00 am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Ave, West Reading, PA, 19611. The family will receive friends and relatives from 9:30am until the start of the service. Larry will be laid to rest at Charles Evans Cemetery following the service.
