Larry Allen Heller, 69, passed away on June 29, 2013 in his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was the loving husband of Linda (Hippenstiel) Heller, whom he married nearly 46 years ago on July 8, 1967.
Born in Berwick, PA, he was the son of June (Oberst) Blackledge and the late Jack Blackledge.
Larry worked as an instrument technician for over 30 years for Sun Pipeline Co., retiring in 2007.
He was a member of the U.S. National Guard.
Larry enjoyed being outdoors; fishing, hiking, working in his yard, and traveling with his wife and dog Abby in their camper. He took pride in creating and working with his hands. He enjoyed woodworking and making furniture for his family and seemed to be able to fix anything. He was also intrigued by anything with a motor or engine. His family meant the world to him and he loved spending time with his wife and children. He will be dearly missed.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughters: Karen, wife of Brent Auge, Sinking Spring and Kimberly Heller, Boulder, CO. Also surviving are his mother, June Blackledge, and his brothers: Dave Blackledge and Tom Blackledge, all of Bloomsburg.
Larry was predeceased by his brother, Dan Blackledge and his sister, Linda Telesky.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Ave., Reading, PA 19605.
