Larry A. Wagner

Larry A. Wagner Sr., 62, of Fairview Drive, Bern Township, died of natural causes April 29 in Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient for one week.

He was the husband of Dorothy N. (Mortland) Wagner.

Born in Bernville, he was a son of the late Lewis G. Sr. and Catherine M. (Rickenbach) Wagner.

Wagner had been employed for several years as a cement finisher by A.W. Spease & Son, Spring Township, last working in 1993. He was previously owner of A.L. & J. Cement Contractors, Reading, for three years.

He was an Army veteran.

Wagner is also survived by a daughter, Sherry Ann (Wagner) Phillips, in Florida, and two sons, Larry A. Jr. and James R., both of Bern Township.

Other survivors include two brothers, LeRoy A. and Luther A., both of Bernville, and two sisters, Lucille A. (Wagner) Hyland, Shoemakersville, and Loretta A. (Wagner) Keiser, Barnesville, Schuylkill County.

There are also five grandchildren.

Memorial services will be Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home Inc., Laureldale.
