Laray Catherine Moyer

LaRay Catherine Moyer, 89, of Oley, passed away June 5, 2013 in ManorCare, Sinking Spring.

She was the wife of Edwin Himmelreich Moyer, who died August 3, 1984.

Born in Maidencreek Township, she was a daughter of the late Clarence A. and Mabel K. (Bubbenmoyer) Burkhart.

LaRay was a member of Zion-Spies Evangelical Reformed Church, Alsace Township.

She was a 1941 graduate from Ontelaunee High School.

Surviving are her children: Beverly A., wife of Richard W. Ehst, Rockland Township; Barry E. Moyer, husband of Jackie, Williamsburg, VA, and Brenda K. Moyer, Oley.

She is also survived by her sister, Jean E., wife of Paul H. Moyer, Maidencreek Township.

Additional survivors include three grandchildren: Kim, Jennifer, and Joanna, and three great-grandchildren: Dylan, Ryan and Carson.

LaRay was predeceased by her brother Richard C. Burkhart.

Services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. in Blankenbiller Funeral Home, 423 Main St, Oley, PA 19547. A viewing will be held from 9:00-11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Spies-Zion Cemetery.
