Laila E Heffner

Laila E. Heffner, 101, of Topton, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 12, 2023 at the Diakon Lutheran Nursing Home, after residing there for several months.

Born in Richmond Township, she was the daughter of the late Albert B. and Ellie M. (Eidle) Heffner. She was employed by Wenton Shoe Factory in Kutztown and East Penn Manufacturing in Lyons until her retirement in 1988.

Laila enjoyed crocheting doilies and afghans, embroidering, doing word search puzzles, reading, going out to eat and going to the casino.

She is survived by her 11 nieces and nephews, 17 grandchildren and 9 great nieces and nephews. Laila was predeceased by her brothers:

Mahlon Heffner, E. Jackson Heffner, and Lester Heffner; her sisters: Catherine Epting, Mary Hoch, Martha Moyer, and Eleanor Labs; and a nephew, Roy Heffner.

Burial will be at Christ Mertz Lutheran Church 16 Fleetwood Rd, Fleetwood, PA 19522. Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc is honored to serve the Heffner family.
