L. Charles Bailey

Lloyd Charles "Charlie" Bailey, 79, of Muhlenberg Township, died July 15, 2009 in the St. Joseph Medical Center.

He was married April 29, 1950 to the late Janice Elaine (Schmeck) Bailey, who died February 3, 2009.

Born in Maidencreek Township, PA on March 15, 1930, he was a son of the late Lloyd Ephram Bailey and Mary Mabel (Yeager) Bailey.

He was a self-employed salesman for his entire working career.

Charles is also survived by four children: Sandra Lee (Bailey), wife of Ronald L. Hinnershitz of Temple; Judith Ann (Bailey)Goodkind of Temple; Cynthia Jane (Bailey), wife of Michael J. Hurst of Muhlenberg Township and Charles L., husband of Sherri L. (Rowley) Bailey of Muhlenberg Township.

Other survivors include a brother, Melvin D. Bailey of Hamburg; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by two siblings: Mary Gruber and Alfred D. Bailey.

Services will be private with the Rev. Mark E. Brophy officiating. Burial will be in Maidencreek Cemetery.
