Kurt W. Snyder, 55, of Mohnton, died April 25, 2007 in his residence after a year long battle with melanoma.

He was the husband of Kathy S. (Johnson) Snyder.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Warren R. and Jane (Wieder) Snyder.

Kurt was last employed for two and a half years by Morgan Corporation, Morgantown as Vice President of Information Technology. He previously was the Vice President of I.T. at Bath Unlimited, Randolph, NJ, Baldwin Hardware, Reading and STV Group, Douglassville. Kurt also had been a teacher of Math and Science at Daniel Boone High School from 1973 to 1982, where he also coached track and field.

He was a graduate of Daniel Boone High School in 1969; and earned his BS Degree in Biology and Physics from Kutztown University in 1973.

Kurt was a member of St. John Baptist de la Salle, Roman Catholic Church, Shillington, where he was an extraordinary minister, lector and team leader for RCIA.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Warren W. and Kevin W., both students at West Chester University. There is also one brother, Carl L. Snyder, Oley and one sister, Kathy J. (Snyder) Smith, Summit, NJ. He was predeceased by one daughter, Wendy M. Snyder in 1993.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in St. John's R.C.C. Burial will be Fairview Cemetery, Shillington. A viewing will be held Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to LaSalle Academy 440 Holland Street Shillington, PA 19607.
