Krystyna Hempel

Krystyna Hempel, 82, died August 13, 2008 in her Spring Twp. residence.

She was the wife of Andrew Hempel.

Born in Tarnowska, Wola, Poland, she was a daughter of the late Zenon Milewski and Kazimiera (Kielbasinska) Milewska.

She was a graduate of the Medical University in Poland with a degree in Dentistry.

Krystyna was a dentist in Poland for 25 years. Upon immigrating to the United States in 1977, she worked as a dental technician for many years most recently for Barrer and White, West Reading, retiring in 1995.

She was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Hanna M. Kazimierczyk, West Chester and her son, Jerzy Suchara, Lodz, Poland. There are three grandchildren, Tomasz, Adam and Marek. One sister, Danuta Kaminska, Lodz, Poland also survives her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 250 South 12th Street, Reading. A visitation will be held one hour prior to Mass in the Church. Burial will be in The National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa, Doylestown. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
