Kieran Edward Holland

Kieran "Snook" Edward Holland, Jr., 73, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at Reading Hospital and Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Laurie (Emricko) Holland, with whom he shared 12 years of marriage.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Kieran Edward Sr. and Mary (Smorey) Holland. A 1968 graduate of Reading High, Snook worked as a welder at Dana Corp for many years until the company closed its doors. For the next 20 years, he was a manager at Redner's until his retirement in 2017.

Snook was a sports fan and an animal lover who cherished his pets, both cats and golden retrievers. He enjoyed taking cruises with his wife, Laurie. Most of all, he was a proud grandfather that took joy in spending time with his family.

Left to cherish his memory are wife, Laurie; sons: Jason Holland (Amy) of Shillington, Justin Holland (Laura) of Hampstead, NC, and Jeremy Holland (Amanda) of Shillington; stepson Aaron Storey (Katrina) of Alsace Township; stepdaughter, Amber Graham (Josh) of Exeter; brother, Patrick Holland ( Patricia) o f Muhlenburg; sisters, Kathy Gerhard (Baron) of Hamburg, and Sue Kochel (Dwayne); and grandchildren: Nadia, Hailey, Trinity, Caleb, Trent, Addison, Chloe, Colton, Lucas, and Atalaya.

Friends and relatives are invited to gather for a Celebration of Snook's Life on Thursday, June 20th, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, PA 19611. To honor Snook's wishes, the family asks that attire be casual -- Hawaiian shirts would be a welcome tribute to his memory.
