Kevin M. Turner

Kevin Michael Turner, 37, died in his Sinking Spring residence December 16, 2011 at 11:15 pm surrounded by his loving family after a 13 month war with esophageal cancer.

He was the husband of Whitney Paige (Biese) Turner, whom he married March 15, 2003.

Born in Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital, Delaware County on January 5, 1974, he was a son of Raymond J. and Eileen T. (Gaul) Turner, of Glenolden, Delaware County.

He was a 1988 graduate of Our Lady of Fatima, Secane, Delaware County; 1992 graduate of Cardinal O'Hara High School, Springfield, where he was a member of the Varisty Baseball Team. He also attended West Chester University and was a 1996 graduate of CHUBB Institute, Springfield.

Kevin was a member of the Briarcliffe Athletic Association, where he played baseball and basketball.

He was employed for 2 1/2 years as an account executive in software sales with SunGard Availability Services, Wayne, PA. He was previously employed six years with International Data Corporation, Wayne, PA.

Kevin was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.

He is also survived by two children: Samantha M. Turner and Nicholas J. Turner, both at home.

Other survivors include two siblings: Denise M. (Turner), wife of John J. McGroary of Thornton and Ray J., husband of Cyndy M. (Benfield) Turner of Downingtown.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11:00 am in St. Ignatius R.C. Church, 2500 St. Albans Drive, (Spring Township), Sinking Spring, PA 19608.

A viewing will be held Wednesday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611. There will be no viewing on Thursday.

Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
