Kevin LaMont Lenhart, 55, passed away March 5, 2011 in his Bern Township residence.
Born December 13, 1955 in West Reading, he was a son of Joan Ardelle (Roth) Lenhart and the late Samuel Hamen Lenhart, who died July 3, 2006.
Kevin was a 1972 graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School.
Kevin was a state swimming finalist for Bern Township pool and was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.
He was employed as a steel worker with Carpenter Technology, Muhlenberg Township, for eight years, retiring in 1987.
He was a gun dealer as well as a gunsmith, owning his own business, Lenhart's Guns and Custom Loading and worked out of his home for 30 years holding a Federal Firearms License.
Kevin was the proud founder and owner of Gold Cup Paintball for 17 years. He was also the inventor of the first paintball marker lubricant for the industry, Gold Cup Lubricant.
Kevin is survived by his son Eric Michael Lenhart of New Castle, DE and his daughter Amber Christina Lenhart of Leesport.
Kevin is also survived by his two granddaughters, Kaylah M. Lenhart and Alexis D. Lenhart.
Other survivors include his two brothers, Glenn Buckner, husband of Sally Buckner of Smithfield, VA and Travis L. Lenhart of Warminster, Bucks County.
Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Leesport Cemetery.
