Kenneth A. Selig

Kenneth Ariel Selig, 92, died July 5, 2012 in his Temple residence, surrounded by his loving family.

He was the husband of Kathryn (Wentzel) Selig whom he married June 7, 1952. They just celebrated 60 years of marriage together.

Born November 22, 1919 in Reading, he was a son of the late Marcus and Margaret (Hefliger) Selig.

He attended Reading High School.

Kenneth was employed as a delivery person with Eagle Distributing and Reading Brewery. He reitred from Laureldale Post Office after 25 years of service.

Kenneth served in the U.S. Army during WWII, where he received a purple heart.

He was a member of Ephiphany Lutheran Church.

Kenneth was a life member of Temple Fire Company Auxillary and National Association of Reitred Federal Employees.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Kay A. Selig of Reading; his brother, Richard A., husband of Lois Selig of Sinking Spring and his sister, Betty J. Smith of Temple.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
