Kenneth Eugene Posey

Kenneth Eugene Posey, long-time resident of Wyomissing, most recently The Highlands at Wyomissing, died February 24, 2015 in Reading Hospital.

He was the beloved husband of MaryAnn Posey.

Born in Reading on December 25, 1927, he was the son of the late Clarence W. and Mamie (Fisher) Posey.

Kenneth was a graduate of Reading High School in 1945 and Reading Business Institute.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran.

Kenneth was an active member in the National Association of Accountants serving as the President of the Reading Chapter and a National Director.

He was an avid bowler for many years.

Kenneth enjoyed reading books, gardening, birdwatching, model trains, photography, and meeting people as he walked his dog Bonnie.

He enjoyed socializing with friends and neighbors. He will always be remembered by his family and friends for his kindness, quick wit and passion for numbers.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Lynmarie A. Posey, wife of Warren F. Beck, Okemos, MI and Jennifer P. Hills, wife of Mark J. Hills, Summit, NJ; two sisters, Miriam Stoyer and Mary Posey, and two dearly loved granddaughters, Cameron Hills and Caitlin Hills.

Memorial Service will be Monday at 12 noon, at The Highlands at Wyomissing, 2000 Cambridge Ave., Wyomissing, PA 19610. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Reading Hospital Development Fund, PO Box 16052, Reading, PA 19612-6052, The Highlands at Wyomissing Endowment Fund, at the above address, Animal Rescue League, c/o Book Buddies, 58 Kennel Rd, Birdsboro, PA 19508, or Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, www.tunnel2towers.org.
