Kenneth Linden Madsen

Kenneth Linden Madsen, 85, passed away January 10, 2014 in his Fleetwood residence.

He was the husband of Josephine (Concetta) Madsen, whom he married 58 years ago on November 5, 1955.

Born November 16, 1928 in Jamestown, ND he was a son of the late Carl Ferdanan and Adalade (Urnshide) Madsen.

Ken loved operating his business, Canteen Company of Allentown Reading, Inc., and worked there until his retirement in 1996.

He was the past president of the Reading Rotary Club, a member of Ambuc, and the chairman for 5 years for Service Corps of Retired Executives.

Ken was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1950 to 1952.

He was a member of Praise Christian Fellowship, Reading.

Ken enjoyed tennis, golf, fishing, and ham radio. He loved his family and loved life. He will be dearly missed.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his son, Brian Paul Madsen, Port Orange, FL; his daughters: Marlene Ann, wife of Julian Boryszewski, Lititz, PA, Elaine A. Madsen, New Smyrna Beach, FL; and Bernadette L., widow of Randy Marcantoni, Slatington, PA; and his sister, Elizabeth Cassino, Omaha, NE. Twelve grandchildren: Julian Boryszewski, Leah Geissinger, Matthew Boryszewski, Victor Madsen, Patrick Madsen, Spencer Madsen, and Gray Madsen, Kevin Madsen, Adam Madsen, Kristy Madsen, Nicholas Madsen, and Gabrielle Marcantoni, as well as three great-grandchildren: Tyler Boryszewski, Lilly Geissinger, and Isaiah Geissinger, also survive him.

Ken was predeceased by his son, Kenneth Gary Madsen and his great-grandson, Dustin Andrew Boryszewski .

Services will be Wednesday at 12 p.m. in Praise Christian Fellowship, 323 June Avenue

Blandon, PA 19510. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Praise Christian Fellowship at the above address.
