Kenneth Raymond Lebo

Kenneth Raymond Lebo, 81, of Reading, passed away January 29, 2015 at Mifflin Court, Cumru Township, surrounded by his loving family.

Born September 22, 1933 in Reading, he was a son of the late Harold Lebo and Kathryn (Huller) Straub.

He was a graduate of Reading High School.

Ken was employed at GPU Energy, now MetEd, retiring in 1993.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Ken was very sociable and enjoyed traveling. He was a giving and caring man who loved being a father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his children: Scott K. Lebo, Sinking Spring and Wendy Weidel Heinecke, wife of Mike Heinecke, Reading; and their mother, Jane (Rutolo) Lebo. Also surviving are his sister, Gloria, widow of Jim Reed, Kenhorst; his grandchildren: Jill Clark, and Scott Weidel; and his great-grandchildren: Quinn Clark, and Kaleb Weidel.

Ken was predeceased by his brother, Richard Lebo.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Kuhn-Stitzel Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale. Viewings will be held Friday evening from 5 to 7 and Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Alsace Cemetery, next to his companion of 30 years, Gayle Hartzell.
