Kenneth L. Renninger

Kenneth L. Renninger, 73, passed away January 10, 2024, in his Tulpehocken Township residence.

He was the loving husband of Peggy J. (Updegrave) Renninger.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late George and Irene (Wartluft) Renninger.

Kenn was predeceased by his brother, Robert L. Renninger.

He was a 1968 graduate of Reading High School and attended Penn State, Berks and Penn State main campus.

Kenn was employed by Wernersville State Hospital as a psychiatric aide in the Young Adult Unit. He also worked in several middle management positions in various industries, last working at Interstate Container until retiring in March 2010.

Kenn loved the outdoors, many weekends in his younger years you could find him hiking the Appalachian Trail. He enjoyed working outside to improve his property in rural Berks County. His compassionate smile and positive attitude toward anything life could deal him were experienced by all who encountered him. He was a warm and loving man, and that warmth enveloped his dogs too: Cherise, Shaddow, Washington, Yoda and Miss Brooke. He enjoyed NASCAR races, always rooting for Jeff Gordon #24. Kenn also was an avid Penn State football fan. He was best known for being a steadfast and passionate DEADHEAD.
