Kenneth E. Klein

Kenneth E. Klein, 89, of Wernersville, died November 16, 2012 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Grace E. (Seidel) Klein in 1977 and his second wife, Florence A. (Pott) Klein, in 2011.

Born in West Reading, he was a son of the late Paul G. and Luella (Snyder) Klein.

Ken worked for Textile Machine Works in maintenance and then as a microwave technician for Philco Electronics, Philadelphia before his career as an electrician for over 22 years at AT&T, retiring in 1986.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Ken was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Reading, where he served on the church council for many years.

He is survived by his son, David K., husband of Elizabeth Klein, Topton and his step-daughter, Linda L., wife of Raymond Snyder, Wyomissing Hills. Also surviving are his brother, Donald R., husband of Mary C. Klein, Wernersville. Two grandchildren: Michele, wife of Donald Kostival, Blandon and Jennifer, wife of Benjamin Johnson, San Diego and three great-grandchildren: Sean Kostival, Olivia Johnson and Ava Kostival survive him.

He was predeceased by and his sister, Dorothy E. Koch in 1993.

Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A viewing will be 9 to 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hope Lutheran Church, 601 North Front St., Reading, PA 19601.
