Kenneth J. Lutz

Kenneth John Lutz, 72, of 3419 Poinciana Avenue (Muhlenberg Township) Reading, Pa 19605, died February 12th at 4:20 pm in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center where he had been since February 3rd.

He was the husband of Mary Rebecca (Hivner) Lutz.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Raymond H. and Lucy (Strickler) Lutz.

He worked as a welder 45 years at Dana Corporation, Reading, before retiring in 1997.

Lutz was a member of St. Thomas United Church of Christ, Bernville.

He was an Army Veteran.

Lutz is also survived by a foster son, Rickey A. Tadder of Burlington, California.

Other survivors include two step-daughters, Rebecca E. (Staver) Watkins at home and Cindy A. (Staver) Sheirich of Reading.

He is also survived by two brothers, George W. of Reading and Gerald E. of Hamburg and two sisters, Shirley (Lutz) Harris of Birdsboro and Lorraine (Lutz) Grant of Dillon, South Carolina.

There are three step-grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 1:00pm in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Rev. Bruce Farrell officiating. Viewings Tuesday evening 6:30 - 8:00 pm and Wednesday 12:30 pm until time of service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Christ Little Tulpehocken Cemetery, Jefferson Township.
