Kenneth I. Spatz, 87, of Reading passed away on November 21st at ManorCare, West Reading, after residing there for 5 months.
Kenneth was the husband of G. June (Dickens) Spatz.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Irvin A. and Gertrude I. (Moyer) Spatz.
He worked as an insurance agent for the United Insurance Company, Lemoyne, PA for 5 years. Kenneth later worked for Security Guard, Inc., from 1990 until his retirement in 2000.
Kenneth was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Reading, where he taught Sunday School and assisted with the Boy's Brigade.
He was a World War II Army veteran.
Kenneth is survived by four sons, Kenneth A. Spatz, Milford, DE, Donald L. Spatz, Pottstown, David W. Spatz, Edison, NJ, and Harold R. Spatz, Reading, and two daughters, Patricia A. (Spatz) Sterner, Temple, and Barbara J. (Spatz) Moyer, Reading.
He is also survived by one brother, Leroy Spatz, Fleetwood, and three sisters, Ruth (Spatz) Forry, Philadelphia, Vera (Spatz) Babers, Denver, CO, and Alice (Spatz) Kalbach, Bradenton, FL.
There are also 17 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren.
Services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. in Calvary Baptist Church, 510 Park Ave. Reading, Pa 19611. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Community Center Building Fund at the above address. Edward J.
