Keith A. Youst, 56, passed away November 6, 2015, in his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Edwin and Jacqueline (Ritz) Youst.
He was the husband of Jeannette (Coco) Youst.
Keith was a 1977 graduate of Reading High School.
He was employed by the United Parcel Service as a package car driver from March 1977 through December 2002.
Keith was elected as a business agent for Teamsters Local 429 on January 1, 2003. He continued as vice president and business agent until January 1, 2007, and secretary/treasurer business agent until January 1, 2011. He also served as trustee to the Central Pennsylvania Teamsters Health and Welfare and Pension Fund from September 2010 to February 2015, retiring from his position on July 1, 2015.
He enjoyed shooting pool and going to races. He was a big fan of Philadelphia sports teams and the North Carolina Tarheels, but mostly he loved spending time with his family. His grandchildren and godchildren were the loves of his life.
In addition to his wife, Keith is survived by his children: Maria Chafin, Kenhorst; William, husband of Deandra Byerly, Oklahoma City, OK; and Nicholas Byerly, South Heidelberg. Also surviving are his siblings: Edwin Jr., husband of Susan Youst, Reinholds; Rusty, husband of Joan Youst, Jacksonwald; Lynn, wife of Thomas Slovik, Wildwood, MO; and Craig, husband of Dana Youst, Emerald Hills, CA. Also surviving are his grandchildren: Sunni and Brady Byerly, Cole and Chloe Chafin, and Giovani Byerly. Many wonderful nieces and nephews also survive him.
Services will be held Saturday, November 14, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. A viewing will be held Friday from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday from 10-11 a.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 498 E.
