Katie D. Weyandt

Katie Diana (Bagenstose) Weyandt, 100, formerly of Arlington Street, Laureldale, died June 16th at 10:30am in Kutztown Manor, where she had been since March 4, 2003.

Her husband, Stanley Howard Weyandt died August 10, 1981.

Born in Reading, August 22, 1905, she was a daughter of the late Samuel A. and Katie (Rutter) Bagenstose.

She was a member of Rosedale United Church of Christ, Laureldale.

Katie was a past president of the Muhlenberg Womens Club.

She is survived by a daughter Judith A. (Weyandt) wife of Thomas Host of Fleetwood and two sons, Paul D. husband of M. Cathryn (Bruderer) Weyandt and Robert L. husband of Geraldine M. (Reed) Weyandt both of Muhlenberg Township.

Katie is also survived by a brother, Thurman Balthaser of Wernersville, and a son-in-law, Donald Johnson of Denver, Lancaster County.

There are also twelve grandchildren, two step grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Marjorie D. (Weyandt) Johnson, who died January 31, 2005.

Services will be Tuesday at 10:00 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. Rev. Richard A. Lieby officiating. Viewing will be one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Rosedale U.C.C.
