Kathy S. Wolf

Kathy S. Wolf, also known as Kathy S. Wool, passed away May 28, 2017, in her Wyomissing residence.

She was the wife of Dr. Erwin H. Wolf, II; they were married November 22, 1985 and loving mother to Natalie Judith, and Abigail Rose.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of Judith M. (Roller) Wool, Wyomissing, and the late Dr. Arthur L. Wool.

She was a graduate of Wilson High School in 1977, and Empire Beauty School. Kathy was a beautician and cosmetologist for many years.

A long-time member of West Lawn United Methodist Church, she volunteered both at the church and at the downtown soup kitchen and made many dear friends.

A woman of many interests and passions, she loved, as well as owned many animals, was an avid horse rider and showed horses with her daughter Abigail. Kathy was a gifted artist, with a beautiful voice and love of music and singing. She was proud of her daughters pursuing music during their formative years. Kathy was also an excellent skier as she started at age seven. A golf enthusiast, she cherished the many times she and Erv golfed together. Her grandchildren fondly called her Moona.

Kathy was always very close to her family, especially her sisters and her mother. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Above all she was a fun, kindhearted and caring woman who always pulled for the underdog and the less fortunate.

She is also survived by her children, Natalie Judith (Justin) Collins, Maricopa, AZ; and Abigail Rose Wolf, at home; and her step-sons, Erwin H. "E.J." Wolf, III (Val), Reno, NV; and Robert P. Wolf (Noelle), Sinking Spring. There are four grandchildren: Hayden, Justin, Avalon, and Riley. Two sisters, Kim (Rick) Kelley, Fleetwood; and Suzanne (Tim) Grant, Sinking Spring; sister in law Linda Hodgdon, nephews Dustin (Stacey) Anderson; Sean (Katie) Hayes; niece Lindsay (Scott) Jodon.

Services will be Friday, June 2, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, with burial to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call Thursday, June 1, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday, June 2, 2017, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
